From solving real needs to adding beauty, I believe good design has the power to make life better. Design is not simply my career, it’s my lifelong passion.
EDUCATION
I've been a creative designer my entire life. Earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design only made the title official.
My parents teased that I must’ve forgotten Brigham Young University was supposed to be hard because I was having so much fun in my design courses. It’s because design is not just a degree or profession for me - it's woven into everything I do.
EXPERIENCE
My broad professional experience ranges from consumer electronics to premium home furnishings and fixtures. I blend analytical and creative thinking to drive innovation and success. This left-brain / right-brain balance also explains why Solidworks, Excel, and business podcasts are as engaging for me as Procreate, Keyshot, and Architectural Digest.
My expertise flows through all stages of product development - from research and ideation to manufacturing collaborations. With this, I have conceptualized, designed, and successfully launched hundreds of products, reaching worldwide audiences.
I am also experienced in directing cross-functional development between designers, engineers, and management teams in Europe, Asia, and the United States.
EXPLORATION
While Industrial Design has been the primary focus of my career, I love exploring design and creativity in all its variety. For instance:
I recently started silversmithing - LOVE!
Mixed media art and textile design are my go-to recreation.
And, alongside my husband, I've spent the last few years self-renovating our San Diego home.
